Class Placement & Attendance
All beginners are placed according to age.
Students with prior experience are placed according to ability.
The goal of our school is to maintain a high level
of excellence in classical ballet training.
As a student progresses to higher levels, more frequent classes are required. Students must take the required number of classes for their level. Please call when a student must be absent.
Missed classes should be made up promptly.
Students are expected to be properly attired for each class.
Girl's hair must be secured in a bun. Jewelry and loose clothing should not be worn in class.
Male students should wear white t-shirts, black tights, and black shoes.
Female students should wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and:
Pre-Ballet - Ballet pink short sleeve leotard
Beginning Ballet - Light blue short sleeve leotard
Ballet I & II-III - Lilac or black leotard
Ballet III-IV & Ballet V-Advanced - Solid color leotard of choice*
Pink leotard (Mirella 201L) is required for seminar
Jazz - Form fitting dancewear & black jazz shoes
Tap - Leotard & tights of choice, black tap shoes
Modern - Leotard & tights or unitard of choice, bare feet
Contemporary - Leotard & tights of choice, (lyrical shoes)

A School Recital will be held Thursday, May 11, 7:00 p.m. at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center.
Students with excessive absences or tardies or who miss dress rehearsal will not be permitted to perform in recital.
Alabama Dance Theatre will hold auditions Sunday, August 16, 2:00-3:30 p.m. for intermediate dancers(age 11 & up who have begun pointe) and 3:45-5:15 p.m. for advanced dancers.
Dancers selected in these auditions will perform in Mistletoe, Spring Concert and Stars on the Riverfront.
Tuition & Fees
An annual registration fee of $35 per family is payable to the Alabama Dance Theatre. You may deduct $5 from this registration fee if registration is received by August 1. A recital fee of $120 per class is payable in three installments due December, January and March.
Classes begin Thursday, August 18. Call 241-2590 and we will mail you a registration form.
Classes that do not have the minimum number of students may be canceled or combined with another class.
Class sizes are limited and are filled in order of registration.
The Alabama Dance Theatre, their agents or employees or volunteers,
are not responsible for any injury, damage, negligence, mistake, claim or demand to any student.
Students of the Alabama Dance Theatre agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Alabama Dance Theatre from any such claim or liability.
