At our dance studio, our pre-ballet classes are designed to introduce children to the joy of dance. Our philosophy focuses on building self-confidence, coordination, and self-expression all while having fun. Our experienced instructors provide a safe and nurturing environment for your little ones to explore movement and music. Our classes are designed to teach basic ballet steps as well as encourage self-expression and creativity. Our pre-ballet classes are a great way for children to develop gross motor skills and to learn the basics of ballet. We have pre-ballet classes starting at age 3 all the way up to 2nd grade.

At our dance studio, we offer a variety of classes in classical ballet. Our teachers are highly trained in the techniques and theories of ballet, and are passionate about teaching and inspiring students of all ages. Our classes are designed to strengthen technique, increase flexibility, and develop a greater appreciation for the art of ballet. Classes are held for 2nd grade and up.

Our dance studio offers jazz classes starting at 2nd grade and up. Our experienced instructor will help you develop your technique, build confidence and cultivate a love of jazz. Jazz is a high-energy class with roots in jazz music of the last century, but it is brought up to date with the many styles seen in popular culture today. It is an essential part of a dancer’s training. We begin offering classes in Jazz to 2nd grade and up.

Contemporary dance is a blending of the foundations of ballet and modern technique, this class will challenge dancers to expand their horizons by exploring the transfer of weight, texture, floor work, and introduce the building blocks of choreography skills. It will also challenge them artistically as they find new ways to express themselves emotionally. Contemporary class requires advancement through Ballet 2 and up or by permission of the instructor.

Modern dance will cover the foundations of modern dance through a variety of exercises and movement combinations that help students feel comfortable moving their bodies in new ways. Fun fact! Some say Modern Dance was created in direct opposition of Classical Ballet. Our Modern is based in the Lester Horton technique. Modern classes require advancement through Ballet 2 or by permission of the instructor.

Hip hop dance is a range of street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It is influenced by a wide range of styles that were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. We offer Hip-Hop classes starting at 2nd grade and up.

The combination of ballet, jazz and modern dance styles performed in theaters is called Broadway dance. This dance is a special amalgam of different dances. This dance has its history joined with the Broadway Theater and remains popular today. Broadway is offered for those who have started Ballet 4 and up.

Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (jazz) tap and Broadway tap. Broadway tap focuses on dance; it is widely performed in musical theater. Rhythm tap focuses on musicality, and practitioners consider themselves to be a part of the jazz tradition. We offer tap dance for 2nd grade and up.
